NEC Display Solutions of America, a leading provider of commercial LCD display and projector solutions, announced today the PE401H entry-level installation projector with full high-definition 1080p native resolution and DLP technology, giving conference room and classroom presenters bright and easily viewed images.

The PE401H projector delivers pristine content (up to 2000:1 contrast ratio) from the latest Texas Instruments DLP® engine featuring BrilliantColor™ technology with improved color accuracy.  The PE401H’s remote control provides one-touch source changes and complete menu control.

Using ECO Mode, the PE401H projector’s lamp life increases up to 3,300 hours, while lowering power consumption.  The power management function enables the projector to automatically turn off when an incoming signal is not detected from any of its inputs.  Meanwhile, a carbon savings meter calculates the positive effects of operating the projector in ECO Mode, which is encouraged by an optional message at startup.  Also, Quick Start (3 to 4 seconds) lets users begin their presentations in seconds while quick shutdown (immediate power off with no cooling required after shutdown) ensures efficient energy usage.

The PE401H includes the following features:

• Native resolution of 1920 x 1080
• Dual connector inputs (HDMI with HDCP), which ensure quick switching between presentations
• Powerful 8w speakers, which provide volume needed for large rooms
• Up to 2000:1 contrast ratio
• Plug and Play setup and operation, which optimize images displayed from computers and video sources
• Intelligent Driving Scheme (IDS2), which increases lamp life up to 3,300 hours in ECO Mode and 2,500 hours normal
• Flexible input panel, color-coded and clearly labeled, which connects to computers, Blu-Ray players and other sources using the VGA, Dual HDMI and composite inputs
• Compact size and lightweight design, which simplify projector transport
• BrilliantColor™ technology with advanced video processing from Texas Instruments, which delivers more vibrant and realistic colors and blacks richer with detail
• Built-in closed captioning, which enables decoding and display of text information from a video
• Filter-free design, which eliminates the hassle and time spent monitoring and/or changing filters
• Direct power off, which provides instantaneous shutdown of the projectors
• Power management, which enables projectors to automatically turn off when an incoming signal is not detected from any of the inputs

The PE401H projector ships with a 3-year limited parts and labor warranty, and will be available in May 2013 at a minimum advertised price of $1,999. The lamp is covered for 1 year or 500 hours, whichever comes first.
